From billet to rebar
From the start we set out to make a fundamental contribution to the steel industry and to lay the foundations for long-term growth. Steel billet and rebar continue that path.
Steel: the industry we started with
Our story has been tied to steel since 1992. Steel is the industry on which every other is built: buildings, bridges, factories and infrastructure. Working in such an industry means accepting a responsibility that reaches well beyond our own doors, because what we supply stays in structures for decades.
Billet: where every steel product begins

A billet is a long, square-section length of steel cast from molten metal. It is a semi-finished product: a rolling mill reheats it and passes it through a series of rolls to make rebar, beams and other sections. Put simply, almost every steel product you see on a construction site was once a billet.

Why billet quality matters
A billet's chemical composition determines how strong and how ductile the final product will be. If a billet does not match the rolling mill's requirements, the problem shows up in the finished product, when it is too late to correct. Cracks or voids inside a billet also lead to scrap and added cost during rolling. That is why, for any billet buyer, knowing the exact specifications before the deal is essential.
Rebar: the hidden skeleton of concrete

Concrete is strong in compression but weak in tension. Rebar is the steel bar placed inside concrete to make up for that weakness, which is why it is found in almost every concrete building, bridge, dam and infrastructure project. Rebar comes in two main types: plain bar with a smooth surface, and deformed bar, whose surface ribs improve its bond with concrete and which is the most widely used type in construction.
Rebar grade: a matter of safety
A rebar's grade defines the load it can carry and how far it can bend without breaking. Structural engineers base their calculations on that grade. Rebar that does not match its stated specification is therefore not merely substandard; it puts the safety of the structure at risk. This is how we work: the specifications of every shipment are agreed and set down in writing before the deal.
